I have a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, therefore I have been trained to the highest level in the theory, research base and practice of therapy.
My doctoral research focussed on intergenerational trauma and what people might carry unconsciously and emotionally from the experiences of their family and ancestors. If you would like to read my thesis, please click here.
As an accredited member of both the British Psychological Society (BPS) and United Kingdom for Counselling and Psychotherapy (UKCP), I adhere to their codes of ethics and conduct. I hold Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
I have worked as a psychological therapist for over 10 years in a number of different organisations, including NHS primary care services, a holistic therapy centre, the London Fire Brigade, a GP surgery and a hospice. I have experienced of working with individuals and groups within these settings.
I have undertaken further accredited training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing), NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and the energy psychology methods EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and AIT (Advanced Integrative Therapy).
